How do U merge Nokia contacts -> the Htc Desire.?

You could install googlesync on your nokia, if you have a gmail ccount (if not you'll need one anyway to access the market) and that will sync all your contacts with gmail. Then when you set up your htc desire and sign in with your gmail account, your gmail contacts (including from your nokia) will be accessible via your phone.

That's what I did.

I've been looking in the OVI Store for this " googlesync ", it's not there.?
Yes, I do have a " Gmail " account already, so I'm ready to insert details.!

But I do wanna try this " GoolgeSync ".? - Could U post up a link to the App please.?

1stly, thankyou to everyone that helped, I did appreciate it ...
I tried ALL the suggestions, only to fail, maybe it was just me.? LOL

Anyway ... Finally done.! - I ended up " Bluetoothing " them ALL over.!
I had a Nokia 5800, Contacts / Mark All / Send As Business Card / Bluetooth
On the Desire in the notifications, I think I clicked on vCards, & the Desire opened them all ...
Checked my Contacts on the Desire under People & Wow.? - It's actually there.? - Thank goodness for that.!

Anyway, It didn't work initially, so I rebooted both devices & then they both wanted to play.!

- All contacts saved.! :) Yay.!

Lethal,

Your NEXT objective will to transfer all your CALENDAR dates over :)

For what it's worth (and I'm getting my Desire today :) ), I have found that if you use OUTLOOK to store your Mokia address book, then these may be exported (as CSV) to desktop, then IMPORTED into Google and, apparently, when the phone is connected the contacts will be sucked into the phone!

Same with calendar. I have that synced between my phone (N97mini) and Outlook, but have found there is a Google Sync which may be downloaded, which will syn calendar dates between Outlook and Google. Really quite simple and straightforward. Just got to wait for my phone to load them on there now :)

Cheers

Thank you so much for that. I've just joined this forum as I was not having much luck transfering my contacts from my Nokia N86. What you suggested worked perfectly. :D
