Google Maps UPDATE!!!!

I just noticed there is an update for Maps (4.3.0). Anybody know anything about it?
I'm installing as I type this...if I find anything fun I'll be sure to post it!

(ok, I'm probably being a giant nerd...but Google Maps updates are like christmas)

I love how appbrain just automatically tells you exactly what needs to be updated after a quick sync

They could be. I hope not though since that would be pretty lazy on Google's part.

I use and like AppBrain, but to be clear the Market does that, too.

Just go to Android Market > Menu > Downloads. All of your installed apps that have outstanding updates will be at the top of the screen.

I noticed that when I go into Latitude, it finds friends, but 75% of the time will shut down the program, and in one case restarted my phone and I lost my current scene.

wow it deleted my friends and now suggests my whole contact list to be added to latitude...ug

I downloaded the update...now Maps comes up as "Poor" and with a dark icon in advance task killer. what the eff...


edit: rebooted the phone, all's well now.

should be automatic update if set up like that, but oddly enough, it said "manual update required" in mine in darker red fonts

I really like the new transit (bus/train) schedules being added, as I've been using a lot of public transportation lately.

I am just happy this update included an option to share a location on the map with someone via email or SMS finally!

Not sure if this is new feature or always been there, but the blue arrow identifying your location on the map is also a compass.
