Can LauncherPro get any more awesome?

Gmail Unread Count should allow you to display total messages instead of just unread messages.

Gmail Unread Count - Android app on AppBrain

Works with LauncherPro

No, it doesn't work on mine. I have the newest of each app too.

edit: Nevermind, it works. I was thinking of the Messages app. It doesnt update with a counter like Gmail Notifier does. That's the last feature I want this app to have then it will be perfect!

Haha, if that were the case, I wouldn't have installed any app on my phone. It seems like, with the exception of gStrings guitar tuner, every app I've installed has slews of negative comments. I think Jesus made gStrings or something.

Well its one thing if there are one or two negative comments, but when you see a bunch, I'm kinda hesitant to pull the trigger. Guess I just like to avoid issues if at all possible.

Are any of you guys having issues with LP? I'm hesitant to try it due to recent negative comments in the market. Thanks.

No major problems, it's still not fully done it's in Beta still I believe but I have gotten a couple force close which are no big deal basically abour 10seconds where I can't use the phone. And once I had the screen get stuck on just my background for about 15seconds before the program loaded.
Other then those real minor hicups , it's much better then Sense or Vanilla android. I love it and think the phones should just come with it, plus it gets updated it seems almost weekly and each time it gets better and address problems. Give it a month and I bet it's running perfect.

OK, I feel really stupid asking this but I did a search and found nothing. Do you guys turn off or somehow uninstall SenseUI to use this? If so, can you please tell me how or point me to a link/post that explains it? This seems really awesome, I just don't understand how it works with or w/o Sense.

Thanks in advance!

When you install LP, you press the "home" button on your phone. It will then bring up both Sense and LP as options and you can choose what you want to run. You don't uninstall Sense, just choose not to use it.

Thanks a lot Jim. I may check it out in a few weeks since its gets updated often. It sounds (and looks) like a really neat program.

If that doesn't work then to clear the button default of HTC Sense by going to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/HTC Sense and select Clear Defaults. This will allow you to select whats one to use when you select the home button.

Many thanks to you both! I'll be adventurous and give it a whirl. :)

I forgot to mention that I don't use Gmail, I use an Exchange server so I use the regular mail app.

Yeah tell me about it. You should take a look at all the 1 star comments on the Subsonic page that are from idiots who thought it would magically work without setting up the software on the host side.

It's laughable.

I would look at some other apps, Ive read many threads re LP and the only times it was slow or laggy , turned out to be other apps involved, basically too many active apps or a conflict.
Not sure if true( as i dont save messages) , but one said same about LP , but then came back and said it was his 500+ messages/threads causing slowdown.

it might of been the apps because it's running perfectly fine now.
I like it the only thing I wish was a way to change the icons which I'm sure there is I just haven't fully grasped it yet. Also are there any more docks that we can download?
This phone is becoming more like my PC each and every day, now only if I could run Steam I'd throw my computer away
