If your missing your BB notifications

Ha! I thought I was the only one missing all the BB alerts! Too funny. As for the LED, I miss that the most. Had BerryBuzz and kept my Storm in my tank bag on longer rides. If the wife called or anyting else all I had to do was look down and see the big flashing LED. Droid LED = Fail.

Still love this phone tho :)

When I try to change the SMS sound, only the Incredible sounds are there for me to choose from. The BB sounds are on my card but I don't know how to get them to show up on the list so I can choose which one I want. I don't know how to make a folder on my SD card and place all the sounds there. Can anyone help? TIA

Probably the easiest way to do it is this:

First go to Menu > Settings > Connect To PC and set your "default connection type" to Disk Drive on your phone. Hook up to your PC via the USB cable. Then your PC will recognize it as a storage device and you can choose the option to view files and folders which will be the contents of your SD card. Then simply add a new folder called Notifications to your card and drag/drop the BB notifiers in there.

No offense. I have a storm currently while I await my Incredible.

BUT

Why would you want to bring shame to your android with BlackBerry sounds?

Because I got used to them over the years and they are quality IMO. The options on the DI are lackluster in comparison. And I'm not one for exotic stuff for simple notifications like receiving email/text. They're cool for the first few and soon get annoying. After years of hearing the BB sounds, I'm still not tired of them.

Ummmm, believe it or not, not all ppl use the "default factory chosen" notifications from the bb. I actually changed all of mine from the factory set ones so when that normal bb ringer goes off, i would be the 1 out of the 50 that never had to look at my phone. LOL!

Besides being used to my bb sounds, I'm not into all of the bells and whistles and songs that the "new tech" phones bring. Simple and loud for me, is what i am looking for with my notifications and ring tones. :)
