Help Pandora Static

Sorry if this is a dupe, didn't see it posted with some minor searching on my end. I'm getting a periodic high-pitched, clipping, static sound when playing Pandora. I've heard it through my headphones and car stereo. It's not anything intolerable as it doesn't do it continuously. But it's enough to make me wince a little, especially in the car when I've got the stereo cranked a bit. I've got the Evo media volume set to a little over half way. Anyone else getting this?

Well, you're not alone. It started happening to me... My guess is a problem with the pandora servers as i have a droid on verizon.

My wife is not seeing the issue on her iphone (not turning this into a vs. thread I promise). Did you just notice it recently? I started hearing the static a couple of days after installing Pandora, but I wasn't listening that much initially.

typical Pandora usage = 2 hours per day. Never heard any static. I'm actaully amazed at how good the sound quality is. Never had a "buffering" moment either, and I have the options set to "High Quality"

I didn't even think to look at settings. I'll try switching to High and see if that makes a diffrence. Thanks for the reply.

I have also noticed the static and have called sprint about the issue. This wasn't a recorded issue so I am glad to see that others are also experiencing the problem and are making it known.

It is not a constant sound but a very noticeable shriek especially when listening to it through my car stereo. I never had this issue with my palm pre (sprint), but first experienced it with my new EVO by sprint. I wasn't sure if it was a phone issue or an application issue. If it is an application issue, I hope Pandora fixes it immediately.
