Root Froyo Source!

I guess those of us that flashed Froyo Kangerade V1.1 will be flashing yet again in a few days, once a ROM built from source is released.

I said this before, but I'll say it again. THANK GOD I'm a teacher with the summer off. Otherwise I wouldn't have the time to do all this tinkering. And I get to take care of "Droid business" while my wife is at work so I don't have to deal with the "quit playing with your phone" comments from her.

I think with the Verizon event being held today, we all are probably gonna be surprised. I don't know, but I think it is a little more than just for the unveiling of the Droid x

So I got a question though, is cyan finished with his rom from source yet? :)

When you say 'finished', ummm...AFAICT, all of the CMs are built straight from source....Obviously I am too into the Isner Mahut match to really think about what you mean,

Froyo rom explosion in 3......2.......1......

Hopefully!

What does "from the source" bring to the table that we don't already have? I ask because I have zero issues with the original BB Froyo and the speed is great. It just seems that I can do everything already. Not that I don't welcome new builds but at this point I want them to bring on Gingerbread.

Bringing a ROM from source means you have complete control over how the software is compiled, for your specific hardware, as opposed to a generic / ported ROM from another device.

Same thought here, I'm on Nexbeast .1 at 800 mhz, smooth, fast, no fc's.
