Hi guys

I have installed my new 32gb card into my desire and transferred my music collection (about 20gb) across via my pc but when I try to play them not all are available.

They appear to be on the card as when I check the contents of the card on the pc in explorer they are all there and if I check the folders using the phone again they are showing on the card.

But when I go to select a song to play from the stock player there are only 100 songs to choose from which is very strange as there should be over 2000 easily. Interestingly when I switched the phone off and back on again I had about 700 to choose from which is still not right.

Do I need to do anything with the vcard before installing (for example I didn't format it)?

For info I needed to set up a new folder called MP3 on the new card when I installed it and dragged them into this folder so presume that was correct?

It is a Sandisk 32gb card.

Any ideas for getting the other songs to be available?

Cheers

Update:

I have the below which i found in another thread - thanks to Vordyn. Seems to have worked for me regarding the album art problem. Well the majority anyway. There are a couple which are not showing but I can live with that for now :)

Settings -> Manage Applications -> Media Storage and choose clear data, this will wipe the media library database from the phone.

This is where I got it form if anyone is interested - bargain really. They have all sold now but he has said he is getting some more in soon...

You can get them cheaper. Unfortunately the one I bought seemed like a cheap import, but sold from the UK. It works but is faulty cause everytime I fill it up it says error then I have to reformat the whole bloody card again! Trying to get it refunded by contacting the seller.

Yes got it through ebay. :-(

Fakes generally have slow transfer speeds and massive reliability issues, added to which, it probably isn't the size it states to be.

Im having the exact same problem. I have 200-300 artists and theyre not loading up. At the start i have one... Then they slowly start to expand. I too have a Sandisk 32gb but its definitely not a fake as i got it from a reputable store.

Its driving me nuts as this phone is meant to be a replacement for my iphone and so far its doing a terrible job music wise!!!

IMO this happens only in the beginning when files are copied, and once the files have been indexed by the phone, they'll all be there the moment you start up your music player..
