I did this and applied the update but my phone still tells me it is on FRF72???

Did you delete the old update.zip file from the root of your SD card?

I reapplied and it worked so not sure what happened!!!

Just tried the phone code and got nothing. I also will be constantly checking this throughout the day. I'm on AT&T with EPE54B, and no I will NOT be rooting my phone to get this early.

I got my a online radio back!!!!! Finally.....plus I'm rockin frf82. I don't think its gets any better for me in the mobile world!

Same here, I feel your anguish man...and reading all the N1 Tmo users updating their phones to the official Froyo is making me quite exasperated.

No one's said this is the official Froyo yet.

It's not? Google released Froyo's code, people have been saying they got OTA updates...and this build is flying around right after Froyo was released...I connected all of the N1's dots and it makes sense that it is the official Froyo.

Personally, I don't think it is, there has been NO Google announcements, there are still Exchange Integration missing AND, there is no direct update path from ERE27 (2.1update1) to FRF83.

For now, until I hear confirmation from Google, this is an incremental RC update to me.

Well...unlike you guys I don't have the luxury of experiencing...but I will say one word *ARGH*

This whole Froyo experience has been the most vexing. I simply wish that Google didn't annouche Froyo at the I/O so I wouldn't have any expectations and not really care, so when the OTA comes, I'd be happily surprised...instead of having this anguish of waiting for the update. It's like a roller coaster ride of highs and lows.

Well, there are more and more reports surfacing (here, on XDA and other sites) that AT&T N1's are starting to see OTA's, so don't give up yet!

As soon as I see something, you know I'll post it!

Thanks man. Yeah, checking out the XDA site..but don't have time to go through their enourmous threads on Froyo updates >_<;
