Help No push to talk on my bluetooth any more:(

I'm glad you started this thread. I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I'm thinking that Bluetooth Voice Dialing was a WinMO function.

I can answer and end calls with my Jawbone II fine, but I can't do Voice dialing where I would hold down the back of my jawbone II and it would ask a series of questions before finding the appropriate contact that I want to call.

That function is SO handy in California (hands free while driving law), so if there's an APP that I can add to have that function on the EVO, I'd love to find out if it exists.

From what I understand, it's not an Android limitation per se... it might be a HTC Sense limitation. Apparently, HTC put an old version of Android's bluetooth profile on the EVO... probably 1.6 instead of 2.1

Really? That's kinda ass backwards. As much as I hated Touch Flo 3D compared to Sense, the best part was being able to use the voice dial via bluetooth. For the longest time, I didn't even realize that it was possible to do it (without programming anything).

I hope someone develops an app that can allow it to work.

My bluetooth headset will not work with my evo, can't use to make calls, can only answer. Can't hang up call, can't listen to voice mail on my headset either. Now this morning I paired my EVO with my car's hands free and it told me my phone did not support voice command, I am ready to take this back and switch my old phone back on as I had no problems with my HTC Touch Diamond, ever for over 2 years now. Since this is my first phone that was not windows mobile, and this app thing is all new to me, does anyone know if there is an app or update out there to make this EVO work with my bluetooth headset and car's built in hands free??????

I think Voice Command was a WinMO function? At least, that's what it seems like to me...but...There is the Voice Dialer on the phone. Been searching for a program that'll link bluetooth to that, but haven't found one yet.

Have you tried the voice dialer yet? It stinks... first you have to open your phone, can't access via bluetooth, then when you tell it to call someone, it lists 15 numbers and contacts, you then have to scroll and find the one you want. Easier just to pick the one you want from people. I was able to use bluetooth in my car yesterday wtih the evo, however I can only use the Dial command, and then need to say the phone number, but if you don't know the number by heart you are screwed. I have a 2010 Caddi CTS and was told by sprint that it is supposed to be compatable with android os, and they told me to check with the dealer as there should be a way to load my contacts into my car bluetooth. We shall see.....

Yeah, I've tried it and I agree, it's not great, but still available. I'm with you 100% though. I miss being able to do voice dial with bluetooth. In CALI, where hands free is a must while driving, that function helped SO much.
