The other thing I did was add this line to my prop.build file:
ro.product.rat=EvDo only
Now I tried my data several times with and without that line and when I removed it my data would drop down to about 80-120kb DL which is what I would normally get before applying any of this. Now with this Im getting between 600-900kb DL
