Say I get a new unlocked AT&T (or T-Mobile) GN2 and hook it up with Straight Talk. Anyone know how Android updates will occur? Will it be thru AT&T or T-Mobile indirectly because Straight Talk is purchasing time on their networks? Or not at all?
I've heard that the International version...
My wife and I are going to sign up for a VPN service. I know they all vary in approach but in general is it possible for two persons to share a subscription? We have a home PC, I have an mobile Android device and she has a windows laptop.
thanks for any info.
If the GN2 is obtained and activated from AT&T, will it run on LTE?
If an unlocked version is run on Straight Talk, will it run LTE if Straight Talk sets it up on ATT network?
thanks
I DID search here but I did not find this question.
Still, I feel it's pretty basic, so apologies...
Actually two questions:
I'm considering off-contract purchase of GN2 and intend on going to Straight Talk.
1. What's the diff between the unlocked ATT and International versions?
2. ATT...
I've been running a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 which looks like a Note 2 from 4 feet away. Had it over a year. It seems that while Samsung engineers and designers are busy on the outside, the "shell" guys are out back smoking and watching Netflix. They still keep churning out the same...
If I purchase a factory unlocked GN2 on amazon, take it in to AT&T for a SIM and a plan, do I get a better deal on monthly data plan than if I am getting the phone from them, on 2 year contract?
If we assume that T-Mobile is very poor in my area, is there any incentive to purchasing the device...
Has anyone seen the recent revisions to Netflix mobile app on Android?
They have made the front end very centered around large icons/graphics of each movie. It takes a great deal of time to load the page, and finger swipes, etc, take forever to "register". There are huge delays/non-synch...
I see bracketron and a million others on amazon. Seems that the bottom portion of the mount would block access to the 3.5mm audio jack and possible the USB port as well. I'd love to see something that gave an option of mounting it somewhere lower than the windshield, or in a cup holder.
Any ideas?
When you look at reviews of apps on GP/Market, the reviewer's tag includes device and version of android, typically.
Now, the device name is followed by"...for an older version"
What's up with that? Another Goofle?
On my Samsung Galaxy Player (Gingerbread 3.5.0) I get a blinking notification of GPS on (or Seeking GPS). The GPS is turned off. There are no active apps. Any suggestions for what could be causing the device to seek GPS activation? WeaterBug has "My Location" turned off. Main device...
Strange problem.
I'm running a Samsung Galaxy Player (essentially a wifi-only smartphone or micro-tablet). Gingerbread 3.5.0
Using the stock email reader for my own POP account. Email will randomly retrieve emails that have been previously read and add them as" Unread". It's pretty annoying...
I don't need or want to scroll through hundreds of album art photos when I'm trying to find Camera, Wallpapers, Photos, etc.
Is there a way to filter such that all the album art is not seen by the Gallery app?
I've read the comments about the recent DropBox upgrade and they are not positive. Some comments referred to using DropSyncPro to resolve the deficiencies. In this case, does one install DropBox and then install DropSyncPro as some kind of overlay?
Would SugarSync just be an easier approach...
I've had my Samsung Galaxy Player for a few weeks now. {Gingerbread} It's my first Android device. On an iPhone, there's a "tray" at the bottom which keeps all apps that are currently open. Pretty much the equivalent of having a program minimized in Windows on your PC. Click an icon there...
