Have you exhausted all non-root options first? I'd do that 1st, and if that fails, then I'd be happy to assist you in rooting. I just want to make sure there's not something else wrong with your phone that even rooting wouldn't fix. Have you done a factory reset? Or perhaps had the Verizon store set your phone back to stock? Even if you plan to still root, these are diagnostic steps I would take on my own phone to troubleshoot bluetooth problems. That way if something did go wrong with your actual phone that software can't fix, you can exchange it for a new one under warranty with no danger of them denying your claim because you're phone is rooted. I'm just trying to help you play it safe a bit.
If you still want to root regardless, I'd be happy to help. My Q's then would be do you want to simply root so you can remove bloat & install apps that require root (like wifi tether, titanium backup, root explorer, or autokiller)? Or go all out w/custom ROMs, kernels, & themes?
