I have not used or looked at that app. So not sure I can help you there. Could be a good alternative if you don't want to Root your phone. Best thing to do is give it a shot. Watch battery and watch for force closings. If it seems to help then cool, let me know and I will try it.. hehe. If that doesn't work you could try root and use ADB to remove the sprint apps. XDA Developers would be a good Forum to go to learn what you need to do for that. There is also a Sticky in our forum that has an easy step by step tutorial for gaining Root.
