After holding it myself not sure either...I like the feel of the back...and as much as smooth would look better....I'm not looking at the back.
Although not sure how the extended battery back will look or feel either. I know it has the same ridges...but it may be wayyy more pronounced because the battery will be thicker.
And right now I'm in search of a Nexus 1 pouch (the ones on ebay are fakes). I would love to just have that. I tried my friends, and its snug on our phone which is perfect. He said it fell off a counter and it was fine because of it. Not a scratch.
Figure between that and a full screen guard (not using anything right now - waiting for the the one everyone else is) it would be fine.
So yeah...just worried the extended battery back will have it more pronounced.
