several times I have noticed a java error displayed for a few moments near the bottom of my phone shortly after a reboot.
I believe it was a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError error
what could be causing such an issue on a new phone ?
it seems my pixel 8 only uses the google keyboard for unlocking immediately after a reboot. if I just bring my phone out of dark/sleep mode then my installed keyboard is used.
I managed to stumble across the settings screen a short while ago.
I installed an alternative keyboard that allows for big text and keys. even after making it the default keyboard, when I unlock my pixel 8 the google keyboard comes up.
can I somehow make this new keyboard come up when unlocking...
I was trying to follow along with the pixel lesson at https://guidebooks.google.com/pixel/explore-your-phone/how-to-get-around
and I got stuck on the very 1st part. It refers to a gear icon to open the settings app. There is no gear icon on my screen
one thing I noticed is when I swipe up from the bottom of the phone call app, I go back to my home screen.
was my phone call app terminated o rjust put into the background ?
I just got a brand new google pixel 8 phone today.
Although it is an android phone it does not act and work like my last android phone.
Where can I download a detailed user manual ? Google searching has not turned up anything usefull
placing 3 fingers on the home screen did not take a screenshot. it invoked some kind of configuration screen and nothing on that screen said anything about a screenshot
