You'll need a file manager that will pick up on your internal or external memory. Drag and drop it to your phone and navigate through it and find the apk file. Click on it and it should bring up the installation process....

Unfortunately I didn't get the update.zip to work....yet. There is a one-click root available though, that basically does everything the update.zip would do. The only difference is, you'll need your computer and USB debugging enabled. After that you should be able to manually install an .apk file....
Do you have sideloading enabled? You have to have either that or root (superuser) access.... Just download the apk....and install it....
