Root Cataclysm Beta released for Nexus 6P

This was by far one of my favorite ROMS's on the nexus 5, and I missed it a bit on the nexus 6. Glad to see its coming out for the 6P! Currently in beta, but give the dev a "thanks!" at the link below: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/orig-development/rom-cataclysm-nexus-6p-t3252073

    Root Will you root?

From my earliest time on this forum I've been a die hard rooter and rom flashing addict. I'm finding fewer and fewer reasons for doing so now. Marshmallow seems to fit the bill for me, and I haven't had much reason to change it. So there it is - Will you or have you rooted? Why/Why not?

Beware (Launch time) 3rd Party Cases

From AP - It seems like case manufacturers know as little about phones as we do before the announcements. Many of the cases you see on Amazon and the like don't have the proper spacing in the cutout for the laser autofocus. Chances are if you've bought one of these the manufacturers will give...

Root Lets talk factory reset protection (5.1)

So with android 5.1, google implemented factory reset protection. Essentially, this is to prevent theft, as AFTER the device boots up following a FDR it will require the login credentials of the last google account in order to continue setup. This is likely going to cause initial problems for...

    Help [Official] OTA update thread

T-Mobile has posted that android 5.1 is dropping for the nexus 4, 5, and 7 starting today. The date on these sorts of things isnt always correct (remember Sprint's debacle?), but its a fairly safe assumption the update for our 6 will be happening as well, whenever the release may be. We also...

Root Franco Kernel Discussion Thread [R32 6.0 M]

Franco released his r1 kernel for the nexus 6 last night. This is a favorite kernel for many of the longtime nexus users, and people new to nexus will likely like it as well. I flashed it last night and everything is working just fine. Its feature packed, with more likely to come as further...
