I'm wondering if it's possible to flash a kernel without having a custom ROM installed on the Shift.
I used to have had a custom ROM installed and flashed a nice kernel that allowed me to overclock my phone to 1.5GhZ.
Now since the Gingerbread update, I couldn't really find a specific Kernel...
So I've flashed the 2.3 ROM:

Now I noticed that it does not allow the phone to be overclocked, so I tried flashing couple different kernels, particularly the new

When the update comes, it will most likely be only available in sprint stores first for one or two weeks. Do you guys think they will mind if they see our rooted phones with 2.1 already on it when you go there and get the original update?
