Google Fiber will no longer be providing free services to Kansas City
Kansas City residents that use Google Fiber services may have a bit of shock coming their way. When Fiber originally came to KC, Google stated that its users would have to pay a one-time construction fee, then would not have to pay a monthly fee for the services.

Google is now reversing this decision and instead will be charging users $50 for Fiber 100, with no construction fee or contract. Google has not come out to state why these changes are occurring, but even with the new charges, Google Fiber is still a cheaper option than other services available.
