It's Google, dropping things after a few years is just what they do.

It's one of the reasons why when Google introduce some new service I generally ignore it - most of them don't last.

Today Google announced that they were going to be discontinuing Play Music by the end of the year, while launching a migration tool soon. Honestly if they continue with this plan, I may have to tell them to shove it with my subscription money and go with a different streaming provider. I have a list of issues with Youtube Music Google has not fixed in two years. I'm wondering if others feel the same about it.

I'm not sure how it's going to turn out for me. I have never actually subscribed to Play Music, I use it to play my own collection of MP3 tracks and it does an excellent job of it. I usually have about two hundred tracks playing continuously.

    Just downloaded YouTube Music.

It appears to be an identical user interface to Play Music, I'm currently playing my MP3 tracks exactly as I have been doing with Play Music so at the moment I'm very happy with it.

So happy with it I've decided to give the Premium option a go, and am quite sure I will be continuing with it at the end of the free trial.

I've subscribed to Deezer and Apple Music in the past but I think YouTube Music is far and away the best of the three.

I tried it a while back , but it never managed to list things properly, some albums were split into random fragments or unconnected albums were merged, I've not used it for years.
