Google will tighten up their "right to be forgotten" process in the EU starting next week
Google has been working to make sure they can quickly and adequately comply with right to be forgotten requests in EU. The right to be forgotten rule requires Google to remove a URL from a search result of someone's name if that person requests it, so long as the URL is irrelevant to public interest and other objective parameters. Next week the company will go a step further by using IP addresses to identify what country a user is in and prevent them from accessing a certain search results if they're in the EU and that result is restricted due to the rule.
