1. Are you ready for the Galaxy S20? Here is everything we know so far!
Mobile payment systems have stagnated, unless you have Samsung Pay
Mobile payments systems have been around for several years now and Android Central believes they've stagnated, unless you're using Samsung Pay. This opinion piece details how Android Pay just doesn't stack up to Samsung's own effort, at least in the US.

Hope this is the proper place for the question. I've set up Samsung pay on my S8. I'm confused about MST. How does it work? How do I use it?

to us MST is no different that NFC except that you may have to actually touch your phone near the magnetic card reader portion. My local pool company has an older MST reader that still dials out with every transaction and my S8+ and my ex-Note7 worked fine with them. The only reason why i went back to samsung after the note7 debacle was samsung pay.

Yeh, but China is quite different to the US. :thumbsupdroid: There's so many places that have been cash only, and have never taken card payments. WeChat(TenPay) and AliPay, those only require the stores, restaurants, taxis, night market vendors, etc. to have smart-phones, and does NOT need bank merchant services EPOS terminals, which Samsung Pay does require. In many places now, it's just point your phone camera at their QR code on the counter or wall or something, enter the amount, tap pay and you're done.

For Samsung Pay, and Apple Pay as well, I've found it's really department stores, shopping malls, the larger restaurants, and if it's rural, places just don't have EPOS terminals, they're TenPay, AliPay or cash only.
