Oleophobic coating on Pixel 2 XL seems to be wearing off easily
A new report on the Google Pixel subreddit suggests that at least one person has gotten a phone with an oleophobic coating that has worn off after just a few days. Usually, these take months to years to dissipate.

No. Stop. If you keep your hands clean (wash them regularly) and clean the glass with alcohol, the oleophobic coating will last almost indefinitely. My screen is slick as the day I got it, even more so than other Android devices I own.
