    How is this possible? S8 customers would be so pissed. There isn't a point unless it's a weird S8 variation (which would be acceptable) or a revolutionary development (like energous integration).


    I don't believe this rumor.

    Also it relies on the next generation SoCs being available in quantity that early, or running with 2017 chips. Seems unlikely to me too.

    However, as the s845 hasn't been announced yet, and the announcements precede commercial availability by several months, it seems extremely unlikely that phones based on them will be in mass production by the start of next year.
