Samsung Game Tuner app is flooding users with notifications
There's an application called Game Tuner that Samsung has pre-installed on a number of their devices, and has been made compatible for dozens more.

However, it seems that Samsung users who don't yet have it installed are starting to get hounded by lots of notifications trying to prompt them to download. And while Samsung has responded to people asking why it doesn't work with Pokemon Go, they have yet to respond to any of the 1-star reviews that mention the notification spam.

I have that installed on my Note 7 and do not receive any notifications.

I get this spam and it is driving me insane. Samsung should get the hint that I do not want to install this freaking app by the 1000th time it pops up on my phone. I can honestly say that I have been waiting for the note 7 issues to resolve so I can upgrade this phone but now I'm feeling more than happy to, after 3 or so Samsungs in a row, try something new.

It truly is aggravating that I can't turn this bs off u less I cave and download the app I don't want.

That's because you have it installed. The notification is a constant prompt to install it.

When you get the notification, instead of dismissing it (by swiping it left/right), try pressing and holding down on the notification.

After a few moments it should bring up the notification preferences for whatever service or application is generating the notifications.

If it is a system app or service generating the notifications, you may not be able to silence then completely; but you can set them to low priority so they're slightly less annoying as a temporary solution.

Out of curiosity though, if you are able to do this, can you post the name of the service that's generating these notifications?

I've not had this, and in fact I can't find this Game Tuner thing at all in Galaxy Apps. Possibly it's regional?

Something I've noticed about Note 7, over previous devices, like Note 5 or S6. No Cheetah Mobile Clean Master SDK, that Samsung called Smart Manager. It's just not there. :)

@Josh H unable, have tried that. This particular notification seems to be immune to those settings.
