The FAA is actually thinking about banning the Galaxy Note 7 from airplanes
The Galaxy Note 7 battery recall is a huge issue as the company is recalling all 2.5 million units sold since launch.

It's been reported that the FAA is thinking about whether or not they should ban the device from being allowed on public aircraft.

Faulty devices at such an early stage, very odd for them to be exploding like that and melting the way it did. It looks like the computer chip isn't processing the charging volts from the adapter so it is able to handle the amount of juice pushed into the device.

Can't really blame the FFA since some folks will refuse to swap theirs out. Nothing like putting yourself and those around you at risk for whatever reason you might try to justify.

Sounds like this could be a great sabotage considering iphone 7 was just around the corner. I'm just saying it would be a great marketing strategy to boost sales, considering iphone 6 sales declined for the forest time.

Once the FAA bans something, other countries' aviation authorities usually follow suit. Which means you won't be able to take a Note 7 on any flight anywhere possibly, if the FAA does ban them. Hoverboards and personal scooters were banned last year. And I noticed in China that charging items from power-banks is now prohibited on flights.
