    The FCC is allowing Verizon and Qualcomm to do limited testing of their LTE-U technology
    Verizon and Qualcomm have been pushing to get their LTE-U wireless technology approved. This tech can use the unlicensed 5.0GHz spectrum and we've seen companies like Google and Microsoft oppose it in fear of it negatively effecting wireless networks.

    The FCC has just granted Verizon and Qualcomm the ability to test the technology in Oklahoma City, OK and Raleigh, NC while they monitor things to see if it disturbs home wireless networks.
