Xiaomi has announced Mi Pay. As expected, it's a mobile payments service that uses NFC to process card-less transactions. The service will work starting with the Mi 5 at a number of banks in China.

Those banks include China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, Huaxia Bank, Minsheng Bank, Ping An Bank, and Industrial Bank.
