Following my last thread for same reason,"full charge battery goes empty in less then 3-4 hours,even with wi-fi,gps,.... turned off",with tip of you guys,i monitored battery usage with "spare parts" app,first i haven't notice anything unusual:
SPARE PARTS gave me very normal cpu usage:1-android system2-browser,...
but then in the end of list of usage option,i checked other usage & what i found was very interesting:
SPARE PARTS>battery history>other usage>total in all time:
running =time without sleeping 28.1 %
SPARE PARTS>battery history>other usage>since last unplugged:
running =time spend without sleeping 99.999 %
SPARE PARTS>battery history>other usage>total since boot:
running=time spend without sleeping 99.999 %

now i guess i know why my phone run out of charge in less then 3-4 hours,question is what i have to do about it?
any solution please?
previous post:http://androidforums.com/htc-hero/1...-just-about-3-4-hours-battery-empty-help.html
also i checked main setting now:
setting>about phone>status>Awake time 100%

Some application is obviously keeping your phone awake as it tries to do something over and over again, although I can't think of a simple way of finding out which one. One way would be to watch phone activity via ADB logcat, but that requires installation of whole Android SDK (Software Developer Kit) on your PC.

By the way, this is why I'm looking forwards to Android 2.x. The application lifecycle management has improved in 2.0 to prevent badly coded applications to do exactly this.

Have you tried reflashing your ROM, this seems very strange that the phone is not sleeping.
I don't know what reflashing means,would you explain it a little bit please;
I also installed an app "systempanel lite" & somewhere i read with payed version,i can monitor exactly which app take how much energy of battery,have anyone tried this app "systempanel lite" payed version,(i guess then it isn't lite anymore!) & is it useful for this purpose?

I guess that i like most of other android users,try to improve overall performance of my system & most importantly have a better energy sufficiency for a little longer battery life,but here there is a fundamental question & contradiction ,(for me as a person who is not a IT professional but till now manage to run my systems(windows,mac,..) & find solution for my problems with help of you IT professional guys!
The question & contradiction is:
In one hand we have a lot of TASK KILLER apps to kill & terminate those functions that we don't use in the present moment,in hope of better performance & consume less energy;but in the other hand from time to time i read in the places like here that these TASK KILLERS actually have a opposite influence because OS then most start those terminated tasks again & ....
I haven't get with which argument we have to go with,& if the reasoning about them are correct,why we have so many of these applications & ....
I guess this question & reasons behind it is not clear for a lot of people like me who don't have a lot of experience with linux base OS,if someone drop some lights & logics over this subject,i guess it must be useful for a lot of people !

Draining batter, do you work in a fish and chip shop :) Sorry I couldn't resist that, BTW I saw Slovakia beat Italy at Ellis Park last week and they were very good, certainly better than England!
I am happy that i brought a little smile to you my friend,after i sent this thread,i couldn't find a way to add "Y" to my "BATTER" !!
& i saw Germans have beaten England 4-1 tonight,i enjoyed the game but not the result, wished for England to go further!
