Root Camera problems with Rooted Droid 2.2

Hey everyone. So my brother rooted my moto Droid a few days ago and after struggling to get it to work properly with 2.2 we finally got it. However a new problem has emerged I have found out today. When I try to take a picture with the phones camera it doesn't save the picture, it doesn't ask me to save and it sure doesn't do it on its own either. Has anyone else run into this issue? Any advice on what to do would be appreciated!

That's exactly what it does to me. It doesn't freeze exactly though. It lets me choose options and stuff but it just doesn't save the picture.

Another issue I am having is when I try to download an image from a link or something like that it says I don't have enough storage for it. Meanwhile I have 10GB left on my SD Card. Have you or anyone run into that problem?

I was experimenting with a new kernel (1.1G) and noticed that my camera was acting a little shady. I went back to the 1G kernel and all is back to normal. So I'm of the opinion that the kernel you guys are using is not agreeing with your phone.

Another one to add to the camera in 2.2 broken and no developer seems to care list. :(

Oh, aren't we the victim?!  Nobody (surely no dev) is forcing you to use any custom ROM. In case you haven't noticed, you're not using the "official" 2.2 Froyo ROM from Verizon. I think the above statement is WAY out-of-line and just plain rude!

^^ You are right, Noone is forcing me to use anything. Thats why I've returned to CM (which has its own set of issues but the camera works :) ).

The "it works for me" attitude is what we've been hearing ever since the first leaks. Noone but those of us with broken cameras see it as a problem (which prompted my comment). We all know it's not official, but there are some ROM's claiming to be "bugless" ;).

It's not the kernel. I'd be happy for someone prove me wrong though :).
