System Upgrade 1.47.651..1 (21.43 MB) Now Available

Question though. My phone did not reboot after the update and I'm not having any issues with widgets. Basically nothing happened.

In fact the HTC software update offer is still there however I'm not going to touch it due to the previous brick post (thank you thank you thank you for posting that as I would have surely done it again).

So how do I check to see what version I have?

Are you rooted?
Do you have a lot of apps installed?

It took me about 5 minutes in that screen.
Just want to underscore this comment... when I installed the update on my unrooted EVO, there were a few times when it just sat on a screen for what seemed like forever (5 or 10 minutes). It finally completed successfully, but was a little nerve wracking here and there.

Well now, I got two updates and the second one seems to have briked my phone.

I have no root and my screen wont turn back on. I'm going to try pulling the battery as it's been about 30 minutes since my screen went dark.

Okay, that' didn't work, my phone is dead and I'm not happy!

I had the exact same issue. I wish I could tell you how to fix it, but I can't even get my phone to power up.

All of the EVO Brick fixes I've found involved using the boot loader (hole tow volume down while hitting power) but since I can't power up the phone, I can't do that.

I'm going to call Sprint (hopefully I can get past 1st level support quickly) and also continue researching. If I find a fix, I'll post it here.

I'm going to march my @ss down to BB and give the fking thing back and just wait until it's stable. It would be my 4th EVO. My only option now to switch to a different provider for a month if I want to keep my number.

Yeah, same here. On mine it went thru about 5 reboots too...I started getting a bit concerned. It's not a quick process, so make sure to let go thru it's steps.

Also, make sure you've got enough charge on the phone or keep it plugged in. I would imagine bad things would happen if your battery dies in the middle of the process.
