Yup. I'm BACK!

This time it's for a review of a Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint Protection Film/Screen Protector.

Yes, upon first impression it does look like some condom case that you see out at Wallgreens, CVS, or local Pharmacy. But this ain't the case. The outer packing for this thing is clever and eye catching.

Application of the film onto the phone is easy. Follow the instructions but also apply some basic knowledge of what you've read at the forum. Go to a shower room, load up the hot water and let the room get really steamy! Once that's ready... do some major prepping.

  1. Cover the Water Damage Sticker (Follow this thread for more information - http://androidforums.com/support-troubleshooting-evo-4g/83159-water-damage-warning-protect-now.html)
  2. Get some Tape. (This is used when you got dust behind the protector and the Evo).
  3. Get a chair and don't get nervous

Start the application slowly and start from the top first. From the top make sure that you give it a little bit of space on the top because the screen protector is a bit small. This way it will be more centered on the front face of the phone. Don't PEEL off the whole screen protector and take off the protection film slowly. Take your time and don't get nervous. Use tape to remove the dust like how you take off pet fur.

Once you finish your application, just use your thumb to push out the air bubbles. Start form the center and put out toward the edge. Don't push too hard or give to much pressure because the screen is glass and you might risk cracking or breaking. Once everything is done, the screen protector is on.

Overall, I think I like this protector 100% more than the stupid ZAGG product being sold at kiosk and retail stores. It doesn't give no rubbery and sticky feeling when swiping through screens. It feels more like your running your finger on a piece of smooth high quality paper. Also, it does work like the advertised. NO FINGERPRINT WHAT SO EVER!

Definitely the best screen protector in the world! :D

I have this Anti Fingerprint film from SGP on my Evo, the material is grade A, smooth scrolling, finger prints non-existent, except for excessively greasy fingers. Application was so easy, no water, no air bubbles, no fuss at all. My major complaint is that it is a bit thick and matte finish, so it makes the screen a bit blurry. I find it hard to read texts for long period. I ordered the Ultra Crystal to replace this Anti Fingerprint film. I read good reviews about the Ultra Crystal, I hope I won't be as disappointed.

I bought the following but i doubt they're the same brand. I haven't received them yet but i'll update you when i do.

HTC Evo 4G Anti-Fingerprint, Anti-Glare - Matte Finishing Screen Protector ( 3Packs )

OH NO! You bought those crappy ones from HandHeldItems! My girlfriend ordered from them, and they were terrible. She paid for extra fast shipping and they didn't come in on time, they wouldn't let her return them, and their customer service is impossible to reach. I would advise everyone else to stay away from that site!

It was stated in a review on the steinheil site that the front facing camera is unusable after this film is installed. I see how the film does cover up the camera... but is the camera really unusable after? I don't see how a *mostly* clear film could disrupt the camera that much... does it make the picture blurry?

I recently got the Ultra clear screen protector on my EVO. I don't use the front facing camera at all, but I will give it a try and report back.

mine doesn't cover the front facing camera in any way. so it does not change how the camera visually see things.

After reading a bunch of reviews, I am more confused now. Sounds like Steinheil and Martin Fields are good. For Steinheil, Ultra Crystal sounds better than anti-fingerprint. But then someone said that sliding your fingers across the screen gets harder with it on. Also, if you mess it up during application, can u exchange it? or does the 30-day warranty not cover it? And, the new ones for sure have cutout for the front cam? Finally, don't see it anymore in ebay under the vendor "sgpcraft".
Thanks
