Car Thread

I like your taste!

For myself:
Have - 2001 Audi S4 (highly modified), 2005 Audi TT (stock, wifey's car)
Want - Audi RS6, R8 (driven this one around Homestead race track), Porsche 911 Turbo (997), 2000-2002 Audi RS4, Nissan GTR

Damnnn. a GTR would be incredibly nice..

How much do those run for? like 80 right (assuming you can get one at MSRP)?

Ok, I need some help. I'm looking at getting a new car. I'm really looking at an 09 Pontiac G5.

I'm 26 with a family, so a complete sports car isn't an option and mileage matters as I drive 80-100 miles per day M-F.

I've also looked at the Ford Fusion and Pontiac G6.

I'm already ruling out the Focus (that's what I have now) and the Chevy Cobalt.

Please provide reviews of the G5. Fusion reviews are welcome, too. Not websites (I can Google). I'm looking for personal or close friend/family experience.

To the OP

From what I see in the Audi forums, CPO and new RS4s are going for good prices these days, with excellent financing terms. I'm driving a 2006 B7 Audi RS4 and love that car to bits, and that's not easy considering that my previous daily driver was a modified Evo VIII MR RS built for track days, and I had an S2000 and a Porsche Boxster before that.

I think your choices depend on a number of variables:

1. what is your budget?
2. fuel economy or performance?
3. seating space - 2 seater, 5 seater, or 7-seater?
4. pre-owned or brand new?
5. Domestic, Japanese, or Continental? Are there known dealers who offer good workmanship, prices and support in your area?

Drive: 97 m3/4 technoviolet (parked 10 months out of the year) & 08 accord 4 door (daily driver)

Want: 08 m3

Need: an awesome single speed bike with some hed 3 carbon wheels.

The accord has tamed me a bit and love the relative comfort it affords me compared to the stiff suspension the m. I want a bike not only for the gas saving opportunity it can bring, but to avoid traffic in general.

If mileage matters, I suggest getting either a corolla or civic. these run along the same price as the cars mentioned above (give a couple more thousand) and have much higher mpg rating. also, japanese cars TEND to last longer than american cars...USUALLY, not always... but it's always a safe bet..
