Continuous LED Flash Notifications?

I would LOVE to have any of my LED flash notifications from missed calls, text messages, or voice-mails flash continously UNTIL I acknowledge or clear them. Right now, the notifications flash for a few minutes then time-out.

1. Does anyone know how I can keep these notifications flashing until I clear them WITHOUT a 3rd party app? If so, please do tell... If not, what app would you suggest?

2. Lastly out of curiosity, anyone have a clue what the "pre-determined" time frame is before the flashing times itself out?

I as well would like to have the LED flash until I acknowledge them. This is such a basic request, how can the EVO not have this option??? I would accept a 3rd party option. Any ideas?
