Did you bump charge? do you have "always on mobile data" on?

Yea, this was on a bump charge.

I have 'data roaming' enabled, and 'alway-on mobile data' enabled.

I didn't use any super battery drainers like GPS or Robodefense during this charge however.

Just minor apps, calls, some internet browsing, and mail/weather autosync.

I'm at 44 hours now with 20-25% left.

I say this without trying to imply that I don't believe you - but holy crap I am amazed at that kind of time ...

i'll say it...i don't believe you. lol.

unless you have a cell tower in your living room there's just no way you can get 44 hours on one charge out of the 1500 battery with the settings and usage you mentioned. especially if you're leaving the phone on and mobile data on THE WHOLE TIME.

in your battery use meter what does it say for hours since unplugged AND what does your display time on show for hours?

edit: i see you said you had wifi on, and that should help, but still...with your settings and claimed usage i just don't believe it.

Hello All,

Let me start by saying that as always we appreciate your honest feedback, good or bad. Unfortunately we're not able to discuss confidential manufacturing processes.

That being said, if any of you are dissatisfied with the performance of your battery, please contact our customer service department for an exchange or a full refund.

Best regards,

Wow. Funny, as I've been trying do to that for a week, but your customer service doesn't seem to WANT to help, maybe you will?

I found, that when you go to their website, and theres a little pop-up with a "how can I help you" message - you can talk to that rep via online and hope to work out whatever the issue is.

good luck...

I have the stock battery, bump charge every day, mobile always on, GPS, light usage because I'm on a computer all day, phone calls (not a lot) and text once in a while. By the evening about 14 hours later, I have around 57% left on average. So I'm figuring I could go 24 before a shutdown. Once again, I am a very light user during the day, only difference is that I have Wifi and GPS on all the time. 44 hours would be impossible for me unless that extra 200 mAh was on steroids and solar charged.

Sadly, they're as useless as the "people" they have answering their emails. First told me I had 180 days to exchange, now tell me I've passed my exchange period. I just want my money back.. and heck, their own post states replacement or refund, I'll take the refund, besides my stock battery works far better then the one I have from them.

Believe it. With my stock 1300 mAh battery I get 32-36 hours often on one charge with moderate usage, phone always on, and mobile network always on. I also always have gmail push on and syncing gmail contacts/calendar and weather throughout the day. And, of course, I use several widgets.

I have no doubt a true 1500 mAh battery can push you past 40 hours.

i'm not trying to flame, but getting that type of run time on one charge means you basically haven't used the phone since it's been off the charger, imo. if your display time is an hour or more i just don't see how it's possible to get past 24 hrs (much less 40) with 30% battery left especially once you add in calls totaling 15 mins or longer, wifi, mobile data, push, pop polling, etc. like i said, keeping wifi on helps, but i don't see it helping that much.

for those of you getting more than 24 hrs with 30% battery left i'd be really interested to know what your display time is and phone calls made and what battery you're using.

for example i have the 1750 battery and i use my phone what i think is fairly normal as it's my only mobile device that i use for work and personal. my display time is usually close to 2 hrs, calls totaling around 10-15 mins, wifi on most of time, mobile data, activesync push, one pop3 at 5 min intervals, occasional bluetooth. my phone is off the charger starting around 7am and doesn't get back on until around 11:30pm. by the end of day i have about 25-30% battery left if lucky and been around a strong signal all day. with the 1300 battery i would make it to about 9pm and the phone would be telling me to charge up.

i haven't tried the 1500 battery so i have no clue what type of battery life it can put out, but i don't expect that it will be better than the 1750 battery. this is another reason why it will be interesting to see the results from dustinf00.

If you are going through the trouble to take pictures - I would like to see the screen where it tells you how long ago the device was "unplugged".

I noticed that the Up Time and Awake Time doesnt change when plugged in to charge the device... so that screen is pertinent to your information.

Thanks - appreciate it.

what does "3g(50%)/Wi-Fi(50%) ON 100% of time" mean? are you turning one off when you have the other on?

pending more info on what the above means, that time since unplugged and usage numbers still looks unbelievable for any stock sized battery...especially given the poor signal time. i would also expect the wifi usage percentage to be higher than 2%...

based on my experience with the stock battery and the 1750 battery if your results are accurate your battery must be radioactive. lol.

that said, where did you get your 1500 battery from?

It's only 2% because it doesn't count the time in which I leave it on idle pushing mail/weather - only the time I'm using the internet or a wi-fi required application. I don't use it for Wi-Fi much at home though because I use my computer. I use 3g a lot more.

Exactly. At work and in public I use 3g. At home I use Wi-Fi. I have a full time job and don't go home right away so it ends up being about 50/50.

I got it at Amazon - I had it customized though. They mixed in a strand of Chuck Norris' DNA.

Amazon.com: HTC Standard 1500mAh Lithium Battery for HTC Snap S521, S522, T-Mobile Dash 3G and HTC Hero GSM version: Cell Phones & Service

$25 bones shipped.

Like I said, the past 48 hours I have only used my phone light-medium so by no means is this typical. That being said, I am normally in a poor signal area - at home and the office building.

got it. for light to medium usage i guess it might be possible to stretch the battery out that long. by comparison my usage profile is more in the heavy area. in the span of 16 hours i match the same usage that you stretch out over almost 2 days with light usage, plus you cycle the wifi/3g connections on and off which should save a ton. now that you've explained it and i look at my usage, the battery life you're getting seems more understandable.

if for some reason i get another battery i'll take a look at the one you posted. with the chuck norris option it seems like a steal!

Here are the pics of my Battery Usage screen showing the time off the charger and still 4 green bars remaining. You can also see my Display Time On just over an hour and 20 minutes. I have the stock 1300 mAh battery (didn't take pics because I hate taking off the silicone case).

I find the usage thing really doesn't accurately reflect all my usage. I have sent/received at least 60 texts since yesterday, read several emails (sent 1 or 2), browsed the web numerous times (always on 3G), and used apps/games like ESPN SportsCenter and Jewels.

I have all 7 screens being used, the following widgets being used: Full screen calendar widget, the following settings widgets (WiFi, BT, GPS, Mobile, Profile, and Airplane), Google Search, Clock/Weather w/animation on, Music Player, Pandora, Favorites, Bookmarks, and the Gmail Unread Count widget. These I assume are always running.

On AutoSync, I sync Facebook once per day, Weather every hour, and Gmail calendar, contacts, and mail are always on push/autosync.

My brightness is not on "auto," but is exactly at 50%. I recently bumped it up from around 30% and noticed a hit in battery life (but not enough to warrant decreasing it for now).

And, finally, I have no reason to lie about any of this because let's face it, I gain nothing by doing so, but I would be wasting my time.

What is "bump charge"? Thanks.

Charging your device while it's on and getting it to say its charged (Green Light).

Then unplugging the device, then turn the device off, then plug it back in (Amber Light). you will see that it takes another 20 or so minutes to charge and get back to a GREEN Light.

Sometimes this can be repeated.
