? for those who had GOOD battery life before the OTA update yesterday or today

I was fearing the same thing. I still haven't updated and my battery life is stellar. I came from the Moment as well and that is where my fears are based...I had the same experience as you. On my Moment, every update made things worse. It was almmost like I had a good phone to start with and everyone else's sucked. And as they improved everyone else's, mine got worse. Anyway, no update for me now...want to keep the unrevoked going.

I'm still on the same charge I commented on yesterday. 24 hours and counting. Added another 30 minutes worth of calls, some downloads, emails, widget moving, power checks. Been reading 6% for a while now waiting for it to shut off.

I'd really like to know how some people are getting 30+ hours or still at 60% after 20+ hours, that is insane. Are any of you rooted. I'm not. The inconsistency is annoying though.

Yes, that is exactly my fear -- and I had that exact Moment experience. It seems like most people are happy with this update though and only a few report worse battery life. I think I'll give it a day or two more to see if battery life straightens out for those who DO have worse battery life (maybe the battery needs cycling again in some cases?), then update if all seems well. I'm not rooted and don't plan to be so I would like to get the benefits of the update. :)

What I'm currently trying is 'Sprint Only' in my roaming settings. I don't have the greatest signals much of the time (don't live in a metro area), and my preliminary findings are that it seems to have made a significant difference in my battery life.

Mind you, the only places that I generally notice significant differences in battery life are in the 'sleep' times. It does plow through battery when in actual use.

I can certainly make it through the day on a charge. One of these days after the new has worn off, I'll convince myself to do an 'endurance' test with optimized settings with everything turned off including screen auto-orientation and see how long it makes it. And one day, even maybe a 'phone-only' battery test where I turn off 3G. That would most certainly make it 2-3+ days from what I've seen.

Have you used the phone at all? If the phone could do that on a consistent basis with usage all the complaints would be out the window.

sorry for the late response.

I wanted to take a screenshot, but shootme is broken and nobody could tell me any software to do that without rooting.. still no software?

I can't recall exactly. I had gps on the whole time I remember that for sure cause i left it on and said its doing well why not keep it on till the phone dies. can't go down the list of daily usage since it was 4 days ago now, but it wasn't a "heavy use" day. I dont normally stream so probably not that day. I think an hour or so of talk, 50+ txts, and checking these forum e-mails quite a bit, news websurfing and alot of checking on power usage.

To end the life i got about 4 hours using hotspot. once we get the ability to take screenshots i'll do a complete rundown of my usage. its kinda useless unless i have screenshots to prove atleast the uptime.
