but i just ran a speed test on my 4g in york pennsylvania with one bar and i had 342kb/s

i did not realize how fast it really was

even thought the upload speed for some reason drops to like 50 some

my 3g speeds average is around 150 with a similar upload speed

WOW am i too excited or is this incredible for a phone?

also my friend at work just texted me and claims his GayPhone4 is faster than mine we shall find out when i get there

Last I checked, bars do not count on a CDMA network like they do on AT&T.

I thought in our case that they were a measure of robustness only - and I'd suppose I'd expect a few lost/re-xmit packets when down to a single bar.

But I don't think the 3G antenna indicator is a speedometer, I don't think the signal strength indicator for wifi is a speedometer, and I'd guess I would not think the same thing for 4G.

Anyway - I may be totally wrong. Well, either that or maybe not.

OBTW&FWIW - kb/s = kbps.

This is correct.

I think what he meant was KB/s =/= kb/s
