Sorry, still new to all this, but what does the "radio" mean/include?

Btw why are people preferring the HTC Sense so much? is Launcher Pro not too different from it? 7 screens, zoom out 7 screens view, widgets customization, and just as fast?

so out of curiosity, why wait for froyo+sense when you could have froyo+launcher pro all along?

im actually tempted to root now because this low space thing is annoying the hell out of me.

only thing is, people are comlpaining about low space with this froyo rom !!

I'm loathe to mess about with my Desire, if it goes wrong I'll have no come back and neither Vodafone or HTC will be interested in helping.

I'll wait for the official release.

well its because the A2SD that comes with Froyo doesn't automatically push all app data to your SD like A2SD+ does, it only works if the apps you have are already enabled to abide with it.

At the moment most apps aren't, however this is obviously going to change in time for the official Froyo release.

You can enable automatic app2sd for all programs installed following the simple instructions in the second post of the Defrost ROM over on XDA. Just remember to transfer your widgets/launcher on the phone and after a boot up the launcher (i.e launcherpro) would have to be restarted for the apps menu to read all the installed programs.

yes I must say the only thing ive used voice search for so far is showing people how cool my desire is, ive never used it for practical purposes

so how are you finding this rom after a day of use?

I finally took the plunge and rooted and to be honest I wish I had done it earlier but so far I went for the modaco 2.1 rom. Im eyeing up the froyo roms now and ive updated my radio so im ready

im also thinking of trying stock froyo, ive got a xperia x10 sat next to me and the lack of sense isnt really troubling me so im wondering how much I actually need sense after all

Probably because of the sense loaded on top ..

It took me a few hours to get it on there (fake flash and a sim lock) but this ROM is awesome!

It is by the far the best ROM i've tried on the desire and is very stable and i'm not seing any battery life issues. Also the HTC Synch works too.....

Try it if you are brave and you wont regret it. (Just follow all the instructions, espically the Wipes, some users arent and they are having issues.)

Awesome. HTC can stick their offical update

Anyone face this problem..
Install a widget from the market (eg. battery) on the SD card. reboot the phone ..the widget disappears. :eek:

You have to uninstall..reinstall the app again.

Why?. This Rom is 3 times faster than 2.1 with sense.
