First Apps for your phone

Wow, very very helpful. Its amazing how many more things you can do with Android!! HOLY COW! OTA syncing with iTunes? What the!?

So the consensus is that task killing apps are bad? Good?

If you download one of those launchers can you switch back to stock if you don't care for it or you miss resizing the widgets?

Is there a word processing program that allows you to use a blue tooth keyboard?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

All of the apps that I currently have listed are free. If you're coming from the iPhone you're probably going to be surprised by the number of free apps in the market. Since you don't have a phone yet, you can do some pre-release planning on AppBrain - the best Android apps and games on the Android market

@kishin you should check out Appbrain. There's plenty of apps free & paid for you to check out and reserve in Appbrain for you to DL on to your X when you get it.

Thank you both. I will give it a look.

Seesmic (Twitter Client)
Opera Mini 5 Beta (fastest web browser I have used)
Movies
Bible
Abduction!
Uninstaller (EVERYONE should have this....makes uninstalling apps sooooooooo freaking easy)
Wells Fargo
Codes (free Redbox movie rental codes)

Those are the ones I have on my Eris that I am for sure going to want....and then I also plan on downloading the GBA Emulator.

Someone mentioned OTA iTunes syncing?! What?! There is an app for that?! If so....I freaking need that. What is it called?! I thought Android phones couldn't play music from iTunes.

EDIT-

Threads got merged, looks like everything was already posted in this main thread....

Getting my X on Thurday (first appointment in the store :D), but being somewhat of an android noob I wanted to get everyone's opinions on applications.

I'd like to stick with free apps as much as possible, but if there is a paid app that will greatly improve the phone I'll consider it.

What apps would be best to have on the Droid X? My ideas so far are:

-Task manager- advanced task manager or taskiller (will the X even need an app like this?)
-Flashlight app- LED flash = finding my keys in the dark that much easier
-Anti-virus- possibly Lookout Security (is this also necessary?)
-Games! So many good looking options, I'll probably just try a bunch and see what works. And of course NESoid + SNESoid.
-News and weather apps (or will the stock widgets work well enough?)
-File management (is this even necessary?)
-???

Thanks!
