First of all, I must say I visited this site a lot since I got my phone, but never registered. Decided to register now. Its a great forum, lots of information that were useful for me.
Well my Spica is brand new (less than a month old). I never did any update on it, never modded it in any way at all. I bought it with official firmware 1.5 from my provider, and never changed that.
Well from a day to another, it stopped booting. It was working well when I went to sleep, and when I woke up and tried to turn it on, it just freezes in the Samsung blue glowing logo. Tried thousands of times, and nothing. As I said it's brand new and no mod done at all, so it's 1.5 cupcake.
In download mode, Odin detects my phone perfectly. But as it's brand new and I don't want to lose my warranty, I do not want to flash it with another firmware. I came to ask if there is a way to flash/reset only the bootloader of 1.5 firmware without leaving traces for warranty purposes. The problem is most likely in the bootloader, and I'm pretty sure that updating the phone would solve it. I just don't want to take that risk if I may need to replace the phone afterward. Can I do that without leaving traces that they could say voided the warranty?
Please, as long as I can avoid going to Samsung and being without my phone for months, any idea is good. Just not anything that will void the warranty.
