Where the Sakura grows
Salutations fellow Nexus One owners!!!

As you might or might not know, I'm the 'unofficial' N1 Forum Phone Guide. Unofficial because Phone Guides are not bound to a Forum anymore but I spend the majority of my time here, so that's how I see myself.

I'll just give a little introduction of myself, since I haven't done that. I'm just your basic Nexus One owner that enjoys posting in AndroidForums. I wanted to contribute more to AF and became a Phone Guide a couple of months ago.

One of my main objective was to organize the N1 Forum, which I'm proud to say I have :D I've basically moved all posts in the Main N1 Forum to its proper SubForms (Root/Support-Troubleshoot/Tips-Tricks).

I have a few requests to ask of everyone here. If you have any N1 troubleshooting questions and/or concerns, please post your questions in the N1 Support and Troubleshooting Subforum. For everyone esle, it'd be great if you can drop by the N1 Support and Troubleshooting Subforum to see if you can help out a fellow N1 user in need. ;) I know everyone here are great and helpful people :)

People that have questions or news with regards to rooting have been pretty good with posting it in the Root Section. So continue with that.

If you have a great Tip or Trick you want to share with everyone here, please state that it's a tip or trick in your thread title :)

If you have an announcement about an application that does not only pertain to the Nexus One, please post your thread here: Android Applications - Android Forums. This way, more people in AndroidForums are exposed to your news/issues about the application.

When I see threads that fit better somewhere else, I'll have those threads moved. I leave a Redirect for 2 days as a courtesy so that the OP knows that his/her thread has been move. This only applies for threads that are less than two days old. I try not to 'move' threads until they go into the 2nd page of the N1 Forum to keep the place 'clean'. If you disagree with a move or merge I did, please PM me.

Thank you for your time,

Your friendly neighbourhood Phone Guide,

-Roze-

P.S. I'd love to hear back from you on my performance as a Phone Guide :)

Nice to meet you (officially)!! :D I have had a great time giving my input here with you guys and gals and have also appreciated the tips, help and announcements here as well!

It's been fun making some friends and poking at others (*pokes at Roze again*).

I am known at XDA and love that site, but it can be a mess. Here, it's a bit more calm and not as wacky as it can get over there.

People are very personable here and I love that about this board. I don't spend much time anywhere else other than here and XDA (mostly here though).

Keep up the great work and let's keep having FUN! :D :D :D

Well hello there my Phone Guide Roze!
I take comfort in knowing you're keeping a watchful eye over us simple nexus-onians :D

So far I think you're doing a good job, even just now you reminded me of the support and troubleshooting forum (I often overlook these subs).

I also mostly confine myself to the N1 forum and the Applications forum and I'll mostly be here doing my civilian duty of lending a hand to those in need :p

Also I'll second what Talderon said about people here being very personable. When I read Mostly Harmless' topic title a few days back "Goodbye Nexus One" I was like 'Awwww, Harmless is leaving us :('

Aaaanywho.. great job so far, just keep at it :)

Yup, your friendly neighbourhood Roze at your service :D

I've joined a whole slew of forums when I got into Android. Most of them...I found boring and XDA is simply crazy...it's an organized MESS! I get overwhelmed when I'm there and since a lot of the posts pertain to Rooting...it's a headache finding a thread I can understand : <

Thanks for the kind words :p

:D If it wasn't for the fact that I move a lot of threads to the troubleshoot subforum...I'd forget to check there too! That's why I thought I'd remind everyone :)

I thought the same when I saw Mostly's post. 'Oh NO!!! Mostly Harmless is selling his N1!!!' and why I was not too happy about his choice of a thread title, lol.

I agree with both of you that the people here in AF are great! They make the Forum what it is :D Without the members, the Forum wouldn't really 'exist' ;)

I'm glad to have a guide as dedicated as you. I have been in your shoes and know it's not as easy as it looks. :)
Thanks :) You should see some of the Guides in the other subforums at work!

Keep up the great work and just remember one thing, don't be afraid to bring down the Hammer of DOOOOOOOM!!! *cough* I mean Hammer of Justice on top of some people's heads as needed.... :p

That's where a MOD comes in ;)

:) I am a forum junkie, I Mod/Own almost 15+ forums (mostly technical and a couple that are social) as well as maintain several Wiki's as well. I know how it can be very hectic and crazy as well.

That's where a MOD comes in ;)

LOL! You'll get your Hammer of DOOOOOOOM soon enough... :p

Thank you for your time,

Your friendly neighbourhood Phone Guide,

-Roze-

Are you kidding? Thank YOU for all your time Rose, there are many forums on the web these days relating to our Nexus' but this is about the only place I visit on a daily basis. I'd be lying to myself if I didn't think your contributions, as well as so many other members, didn't help the site have such a 'family' atmosphere:eek:.

Thank you Rose and thank you all for such a pleasant place to learn more about my very first 'Smart' phone.....believe me, I need it!:p;)

That's a lot of forums :p The MODs know the Guides use them so ;)

Roze is the most personalble moderator of any forum I've been on. I hope I can meet you in person someday to give you a hug and say thanks for being such a good genuine person :)
Thanks ap :) A lot of people here I find very personable, one reason why I love AndroidForums.

Merci Chris :) Nexus is also my very first smart phone too, I just got to know it better a bit earlier than you. But definitely in no time, you'll be one of the 'oldies' here and helping out the newbs ;)

Roze you are doing a great job! It's fun discussing our obsession with the N1 and android here. My only question is would you trade in your N1 Guide badge for an N2 Guide badge?
Yes, espeically when my friends threaten to disown me if I spend another minute talking about Android this or Nexus that. lol So it's great that there's such a big community online that I can discuss my obsession with. I don't need to trade anything :p Phone Guides roam ;) So I can be both an N1 Guide and an N2 Guide :p

Indeed, makes me think back of the good old days :p
Before everyone flocked out of here to bigger and better things, and now even you are leaving our increasingly exclusive N1 club! Things will never be the same!
It's funny, feeling slightly nostalgic over something so recent.

Don't forget your roots Roze! No matter how good the NS is, always carry THE ONE in your heart! :D
