Accessories Steinheil has an X page up!

I posted this in another thread and didn't get a response, seems more relevant here:

Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm looking into ordering some but I would like some second opinions.
Is it "squishy" like Zagg InvisibleShield? I am not fond of that.
Does it reduce the sensitivity of the touchscreen?
What's the difference between the Ultra Crystal and Anti-fingerprint (besides the obvious less fingerprints)?

I know a lot of you are nixing screen protectors because Gorilla Glass is awesome, but I am extremely weary of the damage my purse and its contents could possibly inflict on the screen.

I used the anti-fingerprint on the Incredible. Whereas it initially presents as ever so slightly cloudy, that wears away in about a week and miraculously, there are no fingerprint smudges. I use it. I hate the VZ protectors, they get so oily. The touch was true and in fact, it made it feel easier for the finger to glide over the screen. I use it and swear by it, but keep asking around!

So you are telling me that the Anti-Fingerprint ones lose that cloudiness? I was looking at a few reviews, and they say it comes out muddy and you lose some clarity. For a 4.3 inch phone, I want it to look perfect, but that Anti-fingerprint definitely is awesome.

Also, I hear they are more dreadful in the sunlight than AMOLED screens. Any truth to this?

I had skinomi on my Dinc, my first and only skin. I purchased it for $10 on Amazon and replacements were available for $10 and returning the old skin, (go figure).

I put a long scratch in it while installing it (the applicator is smooth only on one side) and although it was better than a bare screen and was fairly clear, at times I'd have a rainbow effect on it from skin oil.

A coworker had Zagg, solely for fingerprints and swore by it but it was cloudy, blurry and I didn't like the feel.

Skinomi is good, but I'm wondering if Anti-fingerprint is better?

I have used both the clear and the anti-finger print version. I have the anit-finger print on my BB (which is being replaced with the DX at the end of the month) and the clear on my iTouch. My Daughter just took advantage of the "Buy a MacBook Pro and get a free iTouch" and she put the anti-finger print on her iTouch. I like it so much I'm gonna take her extra one and replace the clear protector on my iTouch with her spare anti-finger print.

My recommendation is to buy both. You will end up with 4 screen protectors and then you can see what you like. $11-13 is not a super big investment plus at least you will know.

Without mentioning other companies, I went through 3 other "big" name brands and from "my" experience nobody touches the application ease of Steinheill. I have not found any other protector that is this easy to install and align accurately.

BTW, they are made in Japan. You know their quality is top notch.

Can you testify on the quality of the AF? I hear it makes it incredibly hard to view your screen outside, and it creates some clarity loss to your screen. Are these true? Can you take some decent pictures of it installed on your phone/your daughter's iPod Touch?

That is the trade off for the AF version. It is NOT as clear outside. But on the other hand, I can barely see any of my devices outside in the sun (I have BB Storm2 and iTouch) The only time I'll use my devices outside are in my car  That's why you need to see them in person. I like how it looks inside without all the nasty looking fingerprints.

After having both, I'm willing to give up "some" of the outside viewing.

Sorry, I don't have time for pics and don't know how to do them anyways.

I just sent my BB Storm2 back for credit. As soon as I get the credit, I'm ordering the Droid X. FYI
