BB and Jrummy seem to be the most popular but as you know, it's totally preference for you and the hardware on your phone! they're like snowflakes! everyone is different!

yes it is!

i've tried out BB O.4, Jrummy's 5.0.9, ChevyNo1's Simply Stunning and Cyanogenmod 6.0.0 RC-1.

SS was the smoothest hands down for me but running p3's 1.2 kernal i'm having the best battery life with nexbeast over BB!

it's just too much fun running all these new ROMS and that signed bootloader for the X which is used by motorola to stop people from rooting might be a dealbreaker for me!

droid for life!

Running BB 0.4 here too and everything works. Tried Jrummy's 5.0.9 and had issues with bluetooth and the music player. And I don't know what Pete did, but BB 0.4 has totally changed the battery usage. I mean I can go the whole day and still have 60% battery when I go to bed! Either the battery level gauge is horked in this rom or I am having AMAZING battery life with it!

Pete has a lot of optimizations that improve battery life and man do they work hahaha

no horked battery level readout

ive tried kangerade, cyanogen6, but i keep coming back to bbv0.4! best battery life and the smoothest rom for my droid! i was using chevy ulv 1.2 but i am back to running the stock kernal because it is really as fast as i need it to be!

rooting was so damn quick.

I say kangerade all the way. I'm running key lime flavored kangerade with chevy's 1.1 low voltage kernel, every thing works and works fast... tried some others and I keep coming back to this.

install quadrant. it is what i use to test kernals. chevyno1 always gave me the best performance. you will be surprised how your rooted droid ranks!

I've ran BB 0.4, JRummy's 5.0.9, Saphire, Chevy's SS, and I'm now on CM6 RC-1. IMO CM6 is the best I've run, I REALLY liked JRummy's Kangerade but wanted to go back to a stock 2.2 look. I like CM6 and it's still a WIP, so any issues being had will be resolved. For me personally I haven't encountered any, battery life is good, haven't tried pairing my bluetooth yet, don't use it much. Again, it's just my opinion, the best rom is really what works best for you. Enjoy and happy flashing!

I am still running old school ... lol

jrummys Kangerade blueberry V4.0.7 with jdlfg's LV1.2 ghz v1.3 kernel

it runs so good and smooth and since everything just works, I have not messed with trying anything newer

I am running BB V0.4 with Nexttheme and P3 1100 Kernal, blazing fast and no force closes. Only thing I cannot get to work for the life of me is Wifi tether which I have been trying to get working using Wifi tether for root

+1 It's overclocked to 800mhz stock..but i'm using chevy's 1.25 ulv kernel...and it's rock solid!

you should try a different kernal. i had problems with p3 too.
