Using DJ Droid Froyo ROM with lincore's mods (xda forum)

Ignore the games icons, I was hoping to have "desktop shortcuts" to launch the games like monkey island, monkey island 2 etc but at the moment all they do is launch scummvm (where i have to choose the game). Don't think it's possible but hopefully someone has an answer?? cheers

Very nice :). What agenda widget is that and where's the wallpaper from please?!

Pure calendar widget, it accesses astrid for my task list as well as displaying the standard calendar.

The wallpaper I got off flickr, One Step Closer on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Here's a picture with my notification bar showing '(its normally hidden)

Is there an app that does the same thing as HTC Scenes? I rooted/Froyo and am using Launcher Pro, but when I have to do restores, it doesn't place the widgets back. Not terribly hard to replace them, but would like it more seamless.

Any body?

Oh, and someone recommended WidgetLocker. Awesome! Worth the price.

Also... lekky... Are you using Weatherbug elite above? just wondered how you got the 3 day forcast widget?

yep, it's just one of its widgets

In the first screen shot what clock widget are you using and how did you get the bottom bar with the dialler and web icons?

What is the power control widget?

And how did you get that stock lock screen?

Thanks :)

clock widget i think is fancy widget

bottom bar is from his rooted phone running vanilla froyo, but you can get teh same by using apps called adw launcher or launcherpro, pick your fave.

power control widget is probably switcher pro.

stock lock screen again because he is running stock android :p You can get the same with lockbot app.

Less is definitely more :p What task widget is that?

Use adw launcher, it allows you to backup the state of your desktop and restore later. I think launcher pro will also do this if you use titanium to backup and restore its data?

hey dan.. nice screens.. was just wondering from the screen above what the 2 widgets to the left and right of your weather widget are? look like processor info and battery info... are they available for non-rooted phones?

What's the battery widget called Dan?

The battery widget is called battery droid. I tried loads of different ones but mostly, they were more a resource drain than useful, but this Is good. No rooting required.

The processor monitor is set cpu. It controls CPU output based on defined conditions. It's very useful for battery management, but given its nature, you do need root access.

I'll take a look at adw launcher. Launcher Pro doesn't restore widgets and when I tried to restore it via Titanium Backup, it didn't work either.

Thanks!

Tim

p.s. Perhaps you know - any program like Sketchbook Pro (by Autodesk) for the Android market? I'm looking, but can't find.

I've made some amazing changes to my phone's configuration. I'm really happy with it now. Very very simple, but I LOVE how clean it looks.

What I've done is Keep my usual dock layout (Phone, Messages, App Drawer, Gmail, Browser), but replaced the icons with a transparent block, which essentially removes icons altogether. Sure, the icons are there, but they're invisible. I know my layout well, though, so I don't need to see the icons. This leaves me with an incredibly clean looking interface, that's still very functional :D Remember my dock?

Well, it's still there, it's just invisible :p Look at this. This is my main home screen:

There's a dock there at the bottom! :D Here it is with some notifications:

Screen to the left. This is my "system" screen. All my wireless, brightness, etc stuff is here:

Screen to the right - Just a facebook Widget, really. The icons along the bottom are also a dock on LauncherPro, that link to various social bookmarks/apps I use regularly.

I'm really really happy with this configuration. I love how clean it is :D
