Root DroidMod 2.2 Durden D/L

Don't know if anyone else saw this but here it is. Very Fast. Very Smooth. But this is the beta or alpha release so theres not alot of customization YET.

there is a 800mhz that ill post when i find it.

It would be helpful to mention that Radar3d has stated the camera doesn't work in this build and videos will not play either.

And, this big caveat from the DroidMod team- "The most commonly asked question is whether Durden will overwrite recovery. The answer is no; while a recovery.img is built from source and included in the ROM (as recovery-from-boot.p), the recovery image is not actually flashed when the phone boots. We're still working on making that recovery image useful, so it isn't recommended for general use."

the recovery is easaly remedied by rom manager.

I love how people practically crash the board for other ROMs, but when a DroidMod comes out, people barely even click.

^because we stopped caring about DroidMod. They took too long and their devs never gave out any info.

A lot of folks have no idea who Droidmod is, and frankly, Durden is an uninspiring name next to "Bugless", "Stunning", "Sapphire" and Cyanogen (which despite being a bit odd, has a strong history/reputation in the community).

Maybe they should call it Diamond-Perfect-Amazing ROM?

Is anyone even using this ROM around here? They're the reason I started in the first place. Put it in ROM Manager and they might see some action.

I'm sure they'll see more action after more positive reviews. From what I understand, its a rom built from source with no additional features (please correct me if I'm wrong). It should be fast but I already use fast roms with additional features and a variety of themes. I started with Droidmod as well and ran it for about 2 months (impossible now). At this point, I need more than speed to interest me.

And I agree with SirVilhelm in that, the devs should've posted some news. I didn't hear a word until maybe a month or two ago. That's a long time to be relatively silent.
