Get the Otterbox commuter case. I bought it from Newegg it was much cheaper than buying direct from Otterbox it comes with a silicon liner a hard shell and a protective screen very durable comfortable to hold and very good protection also the screen is nearly indestructible and you won't be changing it, it will last a long time I have had mine 6 months. $21.99 Good Luck

the otterbox is like $12 on new egg which is pretty cheap. I look into it

I use an otter box at home, then some days at work I'll use the belt clip from verizon that has a back cover.
Go with the otter box though. It's durable, looks nice, and adds a little extra mass to it which I think is a good thing.

This is the one I got at a local Verizon Wireless store. I love it! It's durable and keeps the form factor mostly intact.

I never understood this though... why cover up something to "protect the look of it" when you can't see it anyway when it's covered? My friend does this in her car... uses seat covers to protect the seats, to keep them looking nice... but why does it matter if they look nice if you never see them? Makes no sense!

I picked up this one for my Eris back in Feb. I also bought the silicone wrap from the verizon store. This thing is far superior. Good pocketability (slides in and out easy) Dropped my phone twice yesterday and didn't get a scratch. Doesn't add much to bulk, and looks sweet too! Highly recommended.

Yep, I think that is like the new glossy appearance silicone. It's actually called TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane). Search for "Eris TPU" on ebay. Got mine for about $6 shipped. Works great because it doesn't collect dust in your pocket, slide in and out of your pocket easily, and it's stiffer than silicone.

I've got my otterbox commuter for sale for $15 bucks plus shipping. Great case, no added bulk, very secure case, 2 layers and port plugs to protect the charging and headphone jacks. I loved it, only reason I'm letting it go is I moved on to the Incredible....Now I'm waiting for them to release an Incredible series. PM me if interested.
