I emailed both HTC and Verizon and I await my stock replies.

Nothing would surprise me now except I doubt the update will come before August 1st.

HOWEVER I will admit to loving the rumors, trolls, and such. It is like a mini mystery!

i made him repeat the words droid incredible and android 2.2 a bunch of times. he definitely wasn't confused. not telling the truth, highly likely, but not confused.

i asked him if there was any way to force my phone to get the update, he said no.

Anyone else here feel free to correct me, but I do not recall every seeing even a mention of the Nexus by VZW...I only ever saw it from Google!

Obviously there must have been something in the pipeline and something happened, but VZW confirming the Nexus One?? I don't know about that!

Seriously though, I'm with the rest of you guys in being anxious for an update, simply because I want to wifi tether without root, but this is getting out of hand.

Until someone can PROVE the existence or the rollout of an OTA whether it be a patch or 2.2, the mods should just ban all threads of this type. Rumors are doing nothing but making people look like fools when they don't pan out.
