What's your favorite thing about the Vibrant?

Its not the cliq

You have to write a review on what you think about the N1 compared the Vibrant. I haven't seen too many people on here leave HTC's sense for Samsungs new Touchwiz 3.0

IMO, I think they have done a great job with this U/I but I only the 3gs, Motoblur, and previous Touchwiz'. Let us know what you think about the phone compared to the N1.

I really wish Tmo would have been able to get that phone subsidized b/c with the little offerings and what I wanted in a phone through Tmo, I had no choice but get the Vibrant.

Back to your original question though, I'd say that I love the overall phone itself and I am one of the lucky ones that got the good batch of 1st day phones.

Ditto for me. Was there a bad first day batch?

Well I hope it works out for you. I'm the same exact way when it comes to pretty much anything that comes out.

Swype and super amoled screen and that it's got the latest update unlike cliq. I am not too impressed with it honestly but I cudnt stand the cliq anymore,if only they updated the cliq :(

Have you tried the my touch slide? Its the closest thing to the cliq thats not the cliq. I'd say depending on what you want in a phone, its Tmo's second best android offering.

Pros
  • Size and feel - Not too heavy, not too light
  • Display - YouTube videos don't do it justice
  • Camera - Don't listen to the lame lack-of-flash haters. Great camera.
  • 720p Video Recording
  • Audio/Video file types - Plays lots of formats, including FLAC.
  • Speed - It really is just as fast as we thought.
  • Storage - Needs no explanation.
  • Samsung releasing the source - XDA Devs already off to a good start with this phone.

Cons
  • TouchWiz is a bit laggy with Samsung widgets - Samsung aware and working on it. There is a fix available at XDA in the meantime.

As you can see, in my opinion, the pros significantly outweigh the cons. When put up against other top-end devices, the list of pros only grows longer.

I just ordered mine yesterday and I can't wait for it to arrive (scheduled for delivery on Monday)

This will be my first Droid phone. I've owned Blackberrys for years and am tired of the app selection being awful. My husband purchased a Garminfone because he wanted a good GPS and a phone. I fell in love with the apps available. And couldn't wait for this to be released. Are the pictures taken with the camera good quality? I mean I know it's 5 mp but without the flash I was a little concerned. Can't wait to join the rest of you. :D

I agree. Although I don't know about the TouchWiz widgets making it laggy since I only use launcher pro right now. But TouchWiz itself is great, not talking about the launcher.

- Great color scheme.
- Convenient shortcuts in the notifications and nice little trick of instant brightness when sliding it left/right on the notification bar.
