Music control from the lock screen.

Actually I was wrong. It didn't skip songs but did go back in the playlist...
However after months I found my player: Museek. I mailed to the author about adding a skipping songs feature and he did implement it :) Pressing headset button twice skips the song (with a little exercise)

I did get it to work although it did not work very well. I tried museek but that didn't work at all.

What did not work? Skipping songs with headset?
You have to have a delay between the double click on the headset button. It's due to hardware limitation. Tested with Milestone and works relatively good.

Nope, could not get it to work at all. Luckily, I found something that I like even better. Droidshuffle does exactly what we are talking about. 2 presses to skip, three to go back. Works with the built in media player.

Hey, check out executive assistant, a neat app that you can uses anumber of ways, widget, welcome screen or lock screen. Pretty cool, has tabs to see unread sms, emails, facebook, twitter etc. Plus on home lock screen tab you can add widgets, so you can have music control. eg. default music, tune wiki or the one i prefer pure music widget (great skin options).
