So I made the mistake of installing the Sprint Visual Voicemail on this rom. I'm not sure how to get rid of it now. There is no uninstall option for it. I'm assuming I need to do some adb commands but don't have a clue how.
Thanks mystic. I guess I was wrong about wi-fi tethering being built into Froyo. Not sure why I thought it was, but I thought I read it somewhere. Not a big thing though, since I already use the wifi tether app.
I had already installed the battery tweak when I made my previous post. I wasn't complaining about battery life. In fact, I was saying that I am impressed with it.
I restored my DC ROM for now, but I'll play with Froyo again this weekend. When I do, I'll have a look at beautiful widgets if it doesn't cost too much. I already paid for launcherpro plus, and they guy is promising some sense like widgets in the next couple weeks. He already released a people widget and it looks similar to the sense one. I'll see how it goes next time I play with it.
when i installed froyo last week, i accidently installed the clockworkmod recovery console...i honestly dont like it..i want my carebear back lol...i try to flash it through cmd prompts but i cant get it..and if i try to flash my nandroid backup from 2.1 it doesnt recognize it..any suggestions?
there IS corrective spelling and word prediction, but you have to go into the settings and select them...if i'm not mistaken i think they WERE already selected and i just unchecked them and checked them again and it worked..

I had went into settings since I remember seeing these options. They indeed were all checked. I unchecked and checked them again. Still nothing. It offers a quick snippet of symbols and whatnot after words, but doesnt attempt to correct anything, or suggest any words.
protected apps aren't showing with RC1.. but simply push the attached build.prop to /system and it's fixed (***NOTE*** rename to build.prop before pushing and then reboot)
how do i put back my old recovery console with the carebear instead of this clockworkmod recovery? i want to flash my old 2.1 backup again and clockworkmod doesnt recognize the nandroid backup...
I had the same problem where the corrections and predictions weren't working, but the boxes were checked. When I had the problem I was on cyanogenmod 6.0.0 Test 4....I flashed to cyanogenmod 6.0.0 RC0 and now it works perfectly...

I pretty sure if you open up Rommanager it will give you the option to reflash the RA 1.6.2. However, it's not the blue version with the carebear, but given your circumstances, I don't think you would care.
You might need to make sure that it is on you SD card.

EFFIN GENIUS!! lol....i guess it would have helped if i would have read what was actually in that Rommanager huh? thanks alot..froyo was fun but my phone kept rebooting while i would listen to last.fm..very annoying..will re-flash when a final release is ready
what version of Froyo are you using?
if it's RC1 (aka willeaturcat) protected apps don't show unless you replace the build.prop http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1185278/build.prop push it to /system and reboot.
